Jim Smith is co-founder and CEO of Klarrio US. With more than 20 years of experience in software development, software architecture and customer success, Jim helps Klarrio customers transform their organizations by providing real-time data engineering and analytics solutions that drive business value.

Jim began his career at Sandia National Laboratories, in Livermore, Calif. While with Sandia, he designed high-speed data-acquisition systems and distributed computing systems, and modernized a broad range of legacy code.

He joined IBM in 1997 as a Senior Software Engineer, helping to develop a web-based transportation and logistics solution for some of IBM’s largest clients. Later, he joined the Emerging Internet Technologies jStart team.

Jim led architecture and development for the team, providing light-weight development, refinement and Agile engagement methodologies for thousands of IBM customers looking for new technology solutions to gain a competitive edge. His broad range of experience has led to a deep understanding of how to help customers of all sizes to become data-driven organizations.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of California at Davis.

ED ELZE

CPO Klarrio US

Ed Elze is a co-founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO) of Klarrio US. His passion is jumpstarting customers in their transformational initiatives with streaming data, IoT, and event-driven applications by using cloud-native, open source technologies.

Applying a methodology refined over many years with companies of all sizes, from Fortune 500 to start ups, and across industries ranging from transportation to public sector to healthcare to sports, Ed has helped companies make their data both useable and meaningful.

Prior to co-founding Klarrio U.S., Ed led an emerging tech team at IBM that conducted first-of-a-kind engagements.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Rochester.

TED MORRIS

CDO Klarrio US

Ted Morris is co-founder and Chief Data Officer (CDO) of Klarrio US. Leveraging more than 30 years of experience in software product development, advanced analytics, and emerging tech-client engagement, Ted’s mission is to guide clients along the journey of digital transformation.

His entire career has centered around innovation in data management, data processing, and data science. Prior to Klarrio, Ted served as a data scientist and consulting solution architect in IBM’s customer-facing emerging technology team, jStart.

Before that, he held positions as Director of Product Management and Director of R&D at SPSS, Inc., where he focused on enterprise-wide operational deployment of data mining and machine-learning models.

Prior to SPSS, he worked as Portfolio Architect and Software Engineering Manager at ShowCase Corporation, where he led a team that delivered a BI Suite for the IBM mid-range AS/400 system.

Ted earned a Bachelors degree from St. Olaf College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and did graduate work at the University of Chicago.

CTO Klarrio US

Fiodar Zboichyk is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Klarrio US. He specializes in helping organizations define, implement, and operate solutions that address their business needs.

Fiodar is also responsible for building a team of talented and skilled engineers at Klarrio US, focusing on several core technologies—cloud, analytics, and data streaming at scale.

With more than 25 years of experience covering all aspects of software design and development, Fiodar has worked with a broad spectrum of clients including small businesses, enterprises, government organizations, non-profits and educational institutions across a wide range of industries.

Throughout his career, Fiodar has helped clients develop technology solutions that address their specific business problems.
